Vehicle advice & procurement
Mobility is vital in order to be able to provide efficient aid and move projects forward. Advising on suitable vehicles, the procurement and delivery of vehicles has been BBM's core expertise since its foundation in 1989. The following vehicle types can be procured via our BBM:
- Off-road vehicles of all common brands (Toyota, Nissan, Suzuki,...)
- Motorbikes
- Buses
- Trucks
- Tractors and agricultural equipment
Accessories and spare parts are also available on request. Procurement usually also includes insurance and transport to the respective country of destination. The BBM team assists with any import issues and prepares the necessary documents. However, the local partners have to take care of the actual processing, e.g. with regard to customs or customs exemption.
For off-road vehicles, we mainly use the Toyota brand. This is mainly because these types of vehicles are still built with a minimum of electronics systems and there are also Toyota workshops in every major African city. Spare parts are also available on the local market. Below are some of the most common Toyota models. Information about other models and vehicle types of other brands is available on request.
Important notice: Due to special conditions, we are only allowed to procure and deliver our vehicles for registered (Catholic) aid organisations and charitable institutions.
