Technical expertise

BBM has been active in the field of technical development cooperation since 1995. Sustainability is a top priority for us. For example, in all our projects we question whether the technology is actually needed locally and whether the necessary know-how for its use is also available or can be learned. It is important that all stakeholders (local partners, donors, etc.) are involved from the beginning. When procuring goods, we check whether the local market can be used to avoid high transport costs and strengthen local value creation. It is also important to check whether the project partners can afford the ongoing operational and maintenance costs of the installed systems in the long term. To ensure that the project is successful, it is also essential for us to know whether the technology can withstand the sometimes extreme local conditions, such as rainy and dry seasons. There are many aspects to consider if you want to successfully implement sustainable and long-lasting projects. You can find an insight into the technical areas on which BBM focuses below.

Developing the best possible technical solutions that meet the requirements of our partners is our top priority!
